This song is probably my favorite on the album of the
sacred Christmas songs. It has such a haunting melody and just
puts me in a relaxed trance-like mood when I listen. It was
written by famous comic and songwriter- Mark Lowry, along with
Buddy Greene. An interesting side fact is that Michael
Hicks, the soloist, is personal friends with Mark Lowry.
We had hoped to get Mark to bite on being on this CD, but I haven't the
clout to attract big name stars!.....yet! :-) Other Yuletide Friends involved, helped with the vocal arrangement to create the beautiful backgrounds for the 'I WONDER AS I WANDER" section. A big thanks to everyone for their wonderful input. It is truly beautiful. Michael Hicks did a fine job on the solo, too. He has quite a distinctive sound and we harnessed that for this special recording. Great job, Michael!!!- Love ya! - Doug |
