| Dana Schultz | Robert Schultz |
This fun song, originally recorded by Dina Shore in years past, is revisited by the husband/wife dynamic singing duo- Dana & Robert Schultz. Their playful "banter" during the piece is enough to bring a smile to your face, even on a bad day! |

We had the recording session scheduled for Tuesday, July 12th, 2005. On the weekend of July 10th, 2005, Hurricane Dennis dumped nearly 10 inches of rain in 24 hours on Smyrna (Atlanta) GA, where my studio is located in basement of my home. On Monday, the 11th, I stepped into my office and into a huge, growing puddle of wet carpet. Yes, the studio was flooded. I called Dana & Robert and we decided to go ahead with the session anyway. Carpet got pulled up and all the studio was moved into the small "art room" adjacent to the studio. In this tiny little room, we recorded the vocals for BABY, IT'S COLD OUTSIDE as the swealtering heat beat through the window. I only wish I'd video recorded the session. It was crazy, but the recording in priceless and I think you'll really enjoy the only song NOT recorded in the "quiet, soundproof booth"! Maybe that's why the vocals sound so playful, because we were so giddy during the whole thing. Just thought you'd all appreciate hearing a story about "rising above the storm" and pushing forward in spite of problems. |
